Board of Trustees
The Trust is governed by a board of trustees made up of leaders of integrity selected from civil society and the media, with representatives from civil society always in the majority. The trustees reflect our diverse contemporary society and have the necessary range of skills and knowledge to lead this initiative; as individuals, they command widespread public respect for their expertise and independence.

Director
Martin Moore is Director of the Media Standards Trust. He has been working in news and media for over a decade, for the BBC, Channel 4, NTL, IPC Media, Trinity Mirror and others. He read history at Cambridge and holds a doctorate from the LSE where he was teaching and researching until summer 2006. His book, The Origins of Modern Spin, has recently been published by Palgrave MacMillan.
The Orwell Prize Administrator
Gavin Freeguard is the administrator of the Orwell Prize, and also works for the Media Standards Trust on its other initiatives. A recent graduate of Merton College, Oxford, where he read History and Politics, he is responsible for the day-to-day running of the Prize, liaising with the judges, sponsors, publishers and the press, and maintaining the MST and Orwell Prize websites.
